Pia Carona has worked for Boston Consulting Group since 2006. She is a core member of the firm’s Social Impact practice and represents Women@BCG for East Africa, and is also a member of the firm's Financial Institutions and Energy practices. Pia has been deeply involved in BCG’s “grow Africa” strategy for the past five years.

Pia advises private sector, NGO, and government clients on strategic, operational, market access, and development topics. She has worked in countries across Europe and Africa, including France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, Angola, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

Before joining BCG, Pia worked at the private bank Pictet in Geneva. She also worked with Save the Children International on the Southern Africa programs, with EcoAfrica on one of the World Bank´s conservative initiatives in Mozambique, and with Care Mozambique.
