Agenda for the competitiveness of the fuel chain in Brazil

The stoppage of the truck drivers in Brazil in May of 2018 had repercussions far beyond the transport sector, demanding governmental actions amid the resulting political crisis. In particular, many of these actions involved an analysis of the downstream industry. In this article, the BCG points out the main challenges for the fuel chain to advance in terms of competitiveness, starting from the reality of how the value chain is organized in Brazil, ways to an agenda of changes that can take the industry to a new level, with reflexes positive to consumers and investors, as well as ways to attract investment for the continued expansion of product and infrastructure offerings.
