Constantly having to adapt to new tasks and situations and working with inspiring team members—that is what makes working at BCG exciting!
I have always been curious about new ways of thinking and have had a passion for exploring new areas. After completing my undergraduate degree in business in Germany and working there for some time, I wanted to develop further and decided to pursue my MBA in the States and ultimately moved to Tel Aviv after my graduation. BCG provides me with a great environment to continue exploring new frontiers and never have a “typical day at work.” In just my first few months, I was working in various industries such as banking, chemicals, and building materials in Israel and across Europe with people from all over the world. It is a great place to be if you are striving to continue developing at a high pace!

Q: What did you learn in your first year on the job?
A: The most important thing I learned was to always try to go beyond the obvious and force myself to think outside the project scope. It is very important to always keep the full organizational interests in mind and not limit myself in my thinking.
Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?
A: Working at BCG—especially in the first year—means being constantly pushed out of your comfort zone, but in a good way! From day one, you will have responsibility over your own work module and are in the driver's seat. For example, on my second project, which was in Germany, I was the only native speaker on the team and thus was managing big parts of the client relationships—up to the C-Level. Those experiences are hard to find anywhere else, especially early on in your career!
Q: What is something that has surprised you about working at BCG?
A: Having met BCG employees from all over the world during my time here, I can truly say there is a “BCG DNA" that can be found worldwide. Of course, every office or country has its own charm and characteristics, but when I meet fellow BCGers anywhere in the world I am always surprised by how open, helpful, and approachable everyone is and how easy it is to connect with them.
