Growing Future Leaders Sophomore Internship Program

BCG is committed to growing and supporting top talent from groups currently underrepresented in executive ranks, boards of directors, and in consulting: Blacks/African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos and Native Americans/Alaska Natives. As part of this commitment, BCG created the Growing Future Leaders Sophomore Internship Program. This program aims to identify, support, develop, and retain top students from these groups, preparing them to become leaders in consulting and the global business community.

Program Overview

Our Growing Future Leaders (GFL) Sophomore Internship Program provides a highly select group of Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino and Native American/Alaska Native sophomores the opportunity to experience BCG’s work and culture in one of our US offices. The program is ten weeks. In this time, you will be paired with a mentor, participate in training and development programs, and work as a member of a BCG team. Upon successful completion of the GFL Internship Program, individuals are eligible for a junior-year internship offer.

Characteristics of a Growing Future Leaders candidate

  • Current Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaska Native sophomore at US university, expecting to graduate in 2023
  • Outstanding academic performance
  • Excellent problem solvers and analytical thinkers
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Team players
  • Great communication skills

  • Virtual first round interviews will take place on October 12, 2020. No alternate date will be offered
  • If you apply to a US BCG office, you will receive an email inviting you to play the pymetrics games after you submit your application. These 12 neuroscience-based games provide insight into your cognitive and emotional attributes and your potential for success at BCG. The games take about 25 minutes to play, and you will have 48 hours to play them after receiving the invitation. For more information on pymetrics, please click here.
