The Firm Is Recognized By Waterstone Human Capital as a Best-in-Class Canadian Company and Lauded for Its Inclusive and High-Performance Culture
TORONTO—The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has been named one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2016 by Waterstone Human Capital, an executive search firm. Now in its 12th year, the national program recognizes companies with a commitment to strong and vibrant corporate cultures that enhance business performance. The winners were announced in today’s issue of the Financial Post.
The award is presented annually to corporate leaders in the Growth and Small Cap, Mid-Market, Enterprise, and Broader Public Sector categories. Waterstone evaluates hundreds of Canadian workplaces each year and names 40 of them to the list. Organizations are assessed for their performance in the following categories: vision and leadership; recruitment and hiring for fit; cultural alignment and measurement; retention, rewards and recognition; organizational performance; and corporate social responsibility.
“We are honored to join the ranks of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures,” said Cliff Grevler, a senior partner and the managing partner of BCG’s Toronto office. “It’s a recognition of how passionate we are about making BCG Canada a top destination for talent. We want our people to have rich and rewarding careers while also delivering maximum value to our clients.”
“BCG Canada embodies a high-performance culture that permeates not only the organization itself but also the client organizations it serves each day. It is the unique and exceptional culture of BCG, which brings out the very best in the most talented individuals in management consulting, that is its competitive advantage,” said Marty Parker, the president and CEO of Waterstone Human Capital and the chair of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. “The 2016 winning organizations have shown diverse strategies in achieving inspirational cultures that have measureable results.”
BCG has ranked in the top 12 on Fortune’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For every year since 2006 and currently holds the third spot. In addition, the firm has received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index ten times.

This national program, now in its 12th year, annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage. Forty winners are chosen each year in four categories; three are based on revenue (growth and small cap, mid-market, and enterprise) and one is not-for-profit (broader public sector). Organizations are scored for their performance in six categories: vision and leadership; recruitment and hiring for fit; cultural alignment and measurement; retention, rewards and recognition; organizational performance; and corporate social responsibility. The Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures program creates a benchmark of success for all those who are nominated.
