Employee Testimonials

Keith Gesche

Associate, Dubai

My expectations of working in the Middle East were all about adventures—exploring foreign and mysterious cultures, experiencing a tremendously dynamic landscape, and meeting fascinating people from all over the world. Reality delivered all of these while garnishing it with an office culture that does not take itself too seriously and some of the best food I have tasted in my life!

Keith is a BCG Explore participant.

Jana Immink

Consultant, Zurich

BCG Dubai is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures from across the globe. In spite of the diversity and size of the office, it retains a strong sense of community. Our case work is fascinating, as we tackle unique, high-impact problems and build strong camaraderie with our colleagues along the way. Outside of work, Dubai offers a plethora of local fun and its proximity to Europe, Asia, and Africa allows for unique weekend getaways.

Jana started in Dubai, where she worked on projects for more than three years, after which she transferred to BCG Zurich.

Tzvetan Naydenov

Project Leader, Geneva

Working in Dubai and Geneva truly offers the best of both worlds—the projects, clients, and issues are quite different between the two locations, and BCG Explore offers you the opportunity to form a more complete perspective on the range of consulting experience. BCG Dubai was an amazing place to start my career and I am fascinated by the rich history, culture, and nature of the Middle East. When I transferred to BCG Geneva, my transition was not difficult at all, because some values are intrinsic to BCG’s company culture—such as the appreciation for great teamwork and the friendly work atmosphere.

Tzvetan did two and a half years of active project work in Dubai.

Coralie Lannelongue

Consultant, Zurich

The differences I faced in the way I was treated as a woman in Saudi versus Switzerland were mostly in terms of logistics—seating in restaurants, the use of meeting rooms—which I had expected, but it still took some time to get used to. In general I was surprised by the open-mindedness of the people I met, in particular the younger people I worked with.

Coralie has an experience of three months of active project work in the middle east.
