Ashley Dartnell is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of Boston Consulting Group's global diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda. She works with BCG leadership to define the firm’s aspirations, track and report on the firm's progress, increase leadership accountability, and support programs to foster an equitable and inclusive environment for all BCG employees across gender, LGBTQ+, (dis)ability, and racial/ethnic/cultural/socioeconomic groups.

In addition, Ashley is responsible for building BCG's brand externally as a DEI thought leader and partner. She leads a team that has developed ground-breaking DEI thought leadership, including The BLISS Index, based on an external DE&I survey of over 27,000 employees in 16 countries. She has co-authored a number of articles about LGBTQ+ employees, inclusion, women in tech, and caregivers—and has spoken at the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, the Conference Board, the Cambridge Judge Wo+Men's Leadership Centre, and the Bloomberg Equality Summit—among others. She also regularly participates in client discussions as an expert in DEI.

Ashley worked at BCG for four years as a consultant in the New York office after graduating from Harvard Business School and Bryn Mawr College. She then worked in media in a variety of positions and wrote a memoir, before rejoining BCG as Head of International Campus Recruiting in 2017.
