Year 2035: 400 Million Job Opportunities in the Digital Age

By 2035, digital technologies will be a driving force in industries with US$16 trillion in revenue, amounting to half of China’s overall economy. Far from automating jobs out of existence, these industries will have a total employment capacity of 415 million. Even industries in the non-digitized half of the economy will integrate many of these technologies, altering their business logic and operating models. Companies will use these technologies to streamline internal and external collaboration, and to operate more in line with business demands. Overall, these technologies should add more jobs than they take away.
