Iacob Koch-Weser is an Associate Director in BCG's Global Advantage practice, specialized in geopolitics, emerging markets, and trade and investment topics.

Since joining BCG in 2019, Iacob has supported corporate clients on topics such as geopolitical risk, tariffs and trade remedies, export controls, digital rules, and carbon border taxes. He has also supported public sector clients on topics including trade and investment promotion, special economic zones, and international organizations. Iacob has also contributed to BCG's thought leadership, in particular on topics related to China trade dynamics and US-China relations.

Prior to joining BCG, Iacob worked at the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) under the White House, managing a team that analyzed China's economic and trade policies to inform US trade actions. He was also an analyst at the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission in the US Congress. Iacob speaks Mandarin and has lived and worked in China.
