In an agile coach job, you will provide training on agile concepts, values, culture, behaviors, and practices, and engage in hands-on, rolling-up-your-sleeves coaching as our clients work through day-to-day problem solving in an agile fashion. Oftentimes, you will work side-by-side with coaches-in-training in an apprenticeship model to help our clients develop their internal coach workforce.
You will work as part of a cross-functional BCG client team, collaborating closely with other agile coaches and senior leaders to share your deep expertise, practical experience, and battle-tested transformation practices. You will enable our clients to build agile enterprises that are more nimble, are more focused on business value, drive better outcomes, achieve faster time-to-market, and become more attractive to talent.
I recently joined the Agile at Scale team at BCG. Since joining, senior practice leaders across the globe have involved me in all the discussions around how to grow the practice, what our priorities should be, and what IP we should develop for client impact. Getting an opportunity to help define and shape the strategic direction of a growing practice is phenomenal! It pushes me to broaden my horizons and try new things, which is vital for me as I think about my journey forward.”
I spent more than 15 years as an independent coach using agile. My shift to BCG has provided me with an opportunity to access higher levels of leadership to not only grow my coaching capabilities but to make more of an impact with my time. I chose BCG because they have a collaborative and family-like nature that is well aligned with agile, and because their people are super-smart, focused on cutting-edge technology and outcomes.”
As you advance in your career, you’ll go from junior agile coach, working with one-to-three scrum teams, to experienced agile coach, enabling other coaches and in some instances helping to shape the organization’s agile journey.
We are looking for professionals who have worked in an agile organization as a scrum master, product owner, or coach. Candidates should have strong project management and change management experience in large, full-cycle implementation projects.
Our agile coaches have strong presence and communication skills and are able to influence a diverse array of clients, BCG stakeholders, and engineering teams. They are able to drive change through coaching, teaching, and collaborating with clients in business and technology practices.
