Andrej Timofeev leads BCG in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). He focuses on three priority areas: ensuring continuous acceleration of BCG business growth in Russia and CIS, building winning and diverse teams, and bringing the best expertise to clients, thanks to close collaboration with the global BCG organization.

In recent years, Andrej has led projects in metals and mining, energy, transportation, logistics, and infrastructure. He has helped clients in Russia, the US, and Europe with their corporate and business unit strategies, company turnaround, environment and sustainability efforts, operational efficiency, and restructuring. Andrej has also supported clients on critical topics such as digitization, big data, and AI. Throughout his career, Andrej has led major projects for state-owned corporations on business growth, globalization, privatization, and efficiency improvement.

Andrej is a member of the Russian president's Economic Advisory Council as an expert for the working group tasked with developing infrastructure projects in transportation. In this capacity, he advises top-level government officials on key transportation topics in Russia, such as privatization, liberalization, sector strategies, market structure, and regulation of tariffs.

Before joining BCG, Andrej worked for A.T. Kearney in the US, Germany, and Russia.
