Located in one of the world’s most multicultural cities, BCG in Toronto is in the heart of the financial district and features spectacular views of the downtown skyline and Lake Ontario. The office is in prestigious Brookfield Place, a LEED certified building connected to the underground PATH system and just steps from Union Station, Toronto's public transit hubs, restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
BCG officially opened its first Canadian office in Toronto in 1993 when we merged with the Canada Consulting Group. Ever since, the Canadian practice has flourished, growing on average with strong double digit growth every year.
Our Canadian practice and the Toronto office serve a broad mix of Canadian and global companies in consumer goods, retail, financial services, telecommunications and technology, mining, energy, industrial goods, health care, and automotive.
Our Canadian clients represent a third of the value of the Canadian stock exchange (TSX) and the annual returns of our North American clients are double that of the S&P 500.
BCG works collaboratively with our clients to solve their toughest problems and deliver incredible value, which is evident with approximately 90% of our work coming from repeat business.
Our Toronto team is a group of dedicated, collaborative, curious innovators. With a staff almost as diverse as our city, our Toronto team comes from a variety of backgrounds and experiences with representatives from almost 80 different academic disciplines—including business, engineering, fine arts, law, medicine, and much more. We also represent more than 68 schools from Canada and abroad. Our Canadian staff can speak over 30 languages and represent more than 15 nationalities. In addition to our local staff, each year, we host many international BCGers through a variety of mobility programs from the Ambassador program to the Associate Abroad to hosting international case team members or short-term parks following business school. We also offer many opportunities to our own staff to spend time in other offices around the globe.
The office fosters a culture that encourages professional challenges, development, and teamwork. Even as our office continues to grow and expand, we have been able to maintain a family feeling. Our staff enjoys spending time together—during case work as well as socializing in the office. They can grab a quick snack in one of four cafés in the office, enjoy a game of foosball or a latte in our lounge, or chat over drinks during our Friday afternoon schmooze.
We have many office social activities during which we come together to bond and celebrate, including our monthly office updates, regular social events, and Sunday pickup basketball. We also operate as a tight Canadian system, regularly coming together with our offices in Montréal and Calgary for our quarterly conferences, and offsite retreat.
In addition to the exciting and high-impact client work we do, we strive to be an integral part of the community of leaders who shape Canada's future.
BCG in Canada has a long history of giving back to our community and over the years has helped to incubate and launch CareerEdge, CivicAction (formerly Toronto City Summit Alliance), as well as TRIEC, TRAA, Luminato, and the Pecaut Centre for Social Impact.
We continue to actively support the Pecaut Centre and LEAP, the Centre's venture philanthropy arm, which is designed to scale innovative social impact solutions that address problems at the source. LEAP's first cohort of charities, including SNAP, are having tremendous success, and BCG has been a critical element in the strategy development and implementation phases.
In addition, we have played a pivotal role in shaping the strategies of numerous charities in Canada through our pro bono work and board participation, including charities such as Pathways to Education, Junior Achievement, SNAP, and CivicAction. In addition, we were the driving force behind the Greening Greater Toronto initiative.
Further, BCGers support local charities through our Board Fellows programs, mentoring activities, and officewide volunteering.

Our Canadian practice is focused primarily in the consumer goods, retail, financial services, industrial goods, technology, media, and energy industries. We tackle issues of strategic importance across all functions: organization, operations, marketing, corporate development, information systems, and digital innovation.
We also strive to give back to our community. Our consultants have tackled some of the critical issues facing our cities, such as high school dropout rates and environmental health.
