BCG is such a well-designed vehicle for empowering people in any role to have an impact and fully achieve their goals and potential. The opportunities to collaborate on an even playing field with such talented colleagues while still having the independence and ownership over your work seems truly unique.
I got my start in the aviation industry, which gave me the experience and confidence to land a job as a consultant for my dream company at the BCG Budapest office. While I must admit to moments where I've felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself, considering the talent and high expectations that make this company what it is, I wouldn't trade the challenges of the last ten years for anything.
At BCG I've been able to travel and work in more than 20 countries around the world. I've met more than 100 CEOs, scientists, and prominent public figures in my home country of Hungary and across Europe.
I'm most proud of: the positive yet productive work environment that I've learned here and strive to pass along to my team; the business analytics function of marketing, which I helped shape from day one; and the office ramp-up I led in India. I'm grateful to work for a company I'm genuinely proud of for the way it treats its employees and the amazing philanthropic and socially responsible initiatives it supports all over the globe.

Q: When did you know you belonged at BCG?
A: It took a few months after I joined before I started to understand the capabilities and strengths that earned me this seat at the table. All of us are different, and there is a good reason for each one of us to be here. Once I stopped doubting the value I added and also experienced the trust I can create with open communication to fully own my work and accept input, I really felt at home.
Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?
A: First of all: BCG has given me so many opportunities with different roles and promotions, sponsored my MBA, moved me to various roles and geographies (Vienna and then Boston), and trusted me with impactful projects, such as the team ramp-up in India. BCG has constantly supported me with new opportunities as I reached new stages of my personal growth or changes in preferences due to my personal life.
Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?
A: I was assigned to ramp up a global marketing team in New Delhi after the company decided to start a global services office in India. For two years, I spent a lot of time in India finding and hiring talent and starting a team. It was an incredible experience—both professionally and personally. I moved to Boston in 2014 and met my now husband here—also an interesting international experience!
