Principal, Tel Aviv
BCG provides a challenging, dynamic, and pioneering atmosphere, allowing us to act as visionaries for our clients.
Following my MBA, I was looking for a position that would allow me to maintain my global perspective, develop my skills, and make a real impact. I decided to join BCG in Tel Aviv, and now, as a project leader, I feel I have fully achieved these objectives.
BCG is a truly global workplace, and I have worked in different geographies: Israel, Europe, and North America. I am always amazed by the diversity of people I work with—from a former Olympic athlete to someone who trained local troops in Afghanistan. During my time at BCG, I have developed essential business skills and, most important, the ability to think strategically about complex problems. I have also worked with senior clients, built relationships, and observed how major decisions are made and then executed.
Yiftah holds an industrial engineering degree from the Technion and an MBA from London Business School (both with distinction). He is a core member of BCG's Energy and Financial Institutions practices.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like the most is that we help our clients with their toughest challenges. I’ve supported clients when they were facing significant disruptions: technology, regulation, and macroeconomic shocks. In all cases, BCG delivered great value and really changed the way our clients work.
Q: Can you give an example of a time when your team really came together in a big way? What’s the best team experience you’ve ever had?
A: I spent six months in Aberdeen, a small city in the North of Scotland, with a super-diverse team: five members from different countries (and different religions, even). We had never worked together before but "clicked" immediately. It was an intense case, and we spent a lot of time together—working but also having fun (dinners, gym—we even spent weekends together), which really energized us throughout the case.
Q: Have you gotten involved in any groups or organizations within BCG?
A: The BCG Energy practice is like a big family. As a core member, I receive two to three emails weekly with industry news, new materials created by BCG, and people news (recent joiners, promotions, and more). In addition, we all meet annually, learn from each other, share our passion about the energy industry, and have fun together.
