Michael Schmälzle is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice at Boston Consulting Group. His main area of expertise is the automotive industry, and he has worked on a number of transformation and performance improvement projects for automotive clients, focusing on marketing and sales as well as after-sales. He joined the firm in 2010.

Michael has worked with many automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) on large-scale transformation, data and analytics optimization, sales and services transformation, parts trading strategy, digitization, CO2 strategy, and other topics.

Before joining BCG, Michael worked on a process reengineering project for an industrial goods company specializing in automation.
