Since joining Boston Consulting Group in 1996, Tetsuya Uekusa has honed his expertise in all aspects of the health care industry. He is a core member of BCG's Health Care practice. Through BCG’s Ambassador Program, Tetsuya has worked in the firm’s Dallas office.

Tetsuya works extensively with leading Japanese and MNC pharmaceutical and medtech companies. He has advised his clients in the health care industry on such issues as global governance, M&A, post-merger integration (PMI), global operational excellence, R&D productivity, mid- to long-term business strategy, and commercial excellence.

In addition to his work in the private sector, Tetsuya is passionate about developing a sustainable, high-quality health care delivery system in Japan. He has advised leading medical institutions including the National Cancer Center, Japanese Red Cross hospitals, academic medical centers, and major private hospitals. These project experiences have positioned him as a prominent speaker for value-based health care and hospital management reform in Japan.

Before he joined BCG, Tetsuya worked as a senior account executive for Dentsu, the largest advertising and PR agency in the world.
