At BCG, Allies bring a sense of collaboration and excitement to their teams. They create an atmosphere of trust and support in which people can do their best work. Neha goes deep to understand challenges.
At BCG you are empowered to take charge and professional development of your career from day one. It’s a great place to discover yourself by being part of many experiences through your work.
My background is in health care—specifically pharmacy. I decided to move into consulting to gain a deeper understanding of the corporate world. Through my experience with BCG, I have had the opportunity to work with fantastic teams across the world and have gained exposure to multiple industries.
Consulting at BCG gives you a global perspective on challenges facing companies and deep insight into what makes organizations work—and what doesn’t! With access to global experts who have experience in various industries, as well as world-class training and content on the most cutting-edge tools and thinking, you have access to the best resources and are set up to succeed.
Neha holds a master’s in pharmacy (drug delivery design) from the University of the Witwatersrand and a postgraduate diploma (PDM) in business administration from Wits Business School, both with distinction.
Q: Why did you choose to work at BCG?
A: BCG uses its global expertise to develop local solutions for its clients. We really take the time to understand our clients’ needs in the context of their specific environment and work with the client teams to develop solutions. It’s comforting to know that even if you are working on a case in an industry you may not be familiar with, it’s easy to gain access to experts who understand it well and give you their insights so that your ramp-up is quick and thorough. I feel as if that is a fantastic environment to work in and build your skills.
Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?
A: I have done health care projects in Nigeria and India. Both experiences gave me such different perspectives on how different emerging markets are trying to overcome the shortcomings of their health care challenges through innovative ways.
Q: If you could go back in time and tell your 18-year-old self one thing, what would it be?
A: I wish I had known more about consulting when I had just graduated. I would have loved for BCG to have been my first job after graduating. Our junior associates are at such an advantage above their peers, since they get such an incredible learning experience in their first year of working, which, I feel, no other profession offers.
