Since joining Boston Consulting Group in January 2012, Stephen Sutherland has mainly worked within the firm’s Health Care and People & Organization practices. He spends most of his time working with payer and provider organizations—and in particular, the UK National Health Service (NHS). 

Stephen works with clients to craft and deliver complex improvement and change projects and programs. His experience includes organizational design, change management, strategy development, commissioning, public policy, and stakeholder management. In addition to his consulting experience, he has direct senior managerial experience within both the NHS and Local Government in the UK. 

Prior to joining BCG, Stephen spent seven years working in UK Local Government in strategy, change, and project management roles, particularly Children's Services and Children's Social Care. Stephen has also spent time as a Director of Service Improvement in a UK Hospital Trust. He is a PRINCE II qualified project manager and holds the CII Certificate in Financial Planning.
