BCG Earns 100% Score on Corporate Equality Index for Seventh Consecutive Year

CEI Index Benchmarks LGBT Workplace Equality in Corporate America

BOSTON—For the seventh consecutive year, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), making it one of HRC’s “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality.”

Human Rights Campaign is the largest civil rights organization in the U.S., working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans.  HRC counts more than 1.5 million members and supporters nationwide.  The CEI ranks large, private U.S. companies on their policies pertinent to LGBT employees.  The criteria include a company's policies on nondiscrimination toward sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, diversity recruiting and training, and LGBT employment and health benefits.

“This recognition truly reflects the ethos of our firm,” said Tom Reichert, BCG’s chairman of North America. “We aim to create a culture that embraces diversity and encourages talented individuals to thrive in one of the most rigorous careers.  We believe that a more inclusive and collaborative environment helps us to address our client's most difficult challenges.”

In 2011, BCG became one of the first consultancies to offer U.S. employees reimbursement for federal taxes levied on health benefits for same-sex domestic partners.  The firm has also ranked in the top 12 of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work for every year since 2006 and in the top 5 for the past three years.
