Gustavo Loforte is a core member of the Energy practice at Boston Consulting Group, where he focuses on the upstream oil and gas industry.

Gustavo first joined BCG in 1998; after leaving the firm as a project leader in 2004, he returned in 2006. He has worked with clients across multiple industries, including mining, financial services, and health care throughout Latin America. He has focused on Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia and on issues related to organizational, operational, and commercial strategy.

Gustavo believes that as we look for value for our clients, we must always keep the strategic perspective in mind. He also thinks that our work must be fun and engaging both for the individuals and the team.

Prior to returning to BCG, Gustavo worked as a director of strategic marketing at 4Datalink, a software vendor of technical systems for the power distribution industry.
