Dimitrios Lagias joined Boston Consulting Group as a summer consultant in 2012 and returned full time in 2013. He is a core member of the Financial Institutions practice at the firm, focusing on strategy, funding, capital markets, operations, and technology.

His work with clients has included growth strategy and multi-year implementation for a government sponsored enterprise providing liquidity in mortgage lenders; the market entry strategy in niche lending and payments for a leading financial institution; strategic due diligence and negotiations support for a tech assets carve-out for a leading US student loan lender/servicer; and a large scale agile transformation of lending processes for a leading global development bank.

Dimi is also experienced in target operating model design and transformation; front, back, and middle office end-to-end implementation of ops/IT transformation; critical tech resiliency assessments and core platform modernization roadmap; and collateral underwriting assessment and challenger model design.

Prior to joining BCG, Dimi was an investment banker at Citigroup in New York and, later, a senior investment analyst at World Bank's private equity arm, the IFC, working on acquisitions of financial institutions in emerging markets.
