Social inclusiveness has become a major topic in society and politics during the last years. The campaign of Donald Trump showed the growing polarization of the American society, his election has revealed that the polarization is even bigger than many thought. The Brexit and CETA showed that also European countries are struggling. The Netherlands is no exception.

Inclusiveness is important to us all: it is critical to ensure our future prosperity. To turn the tide of declining inclusiveness we need to understand its root causes. In our view, however, the understanding of its root causes are limited. This report is available in English and Dutch.
