BCG and Women in the World

The three-day Women in the World Summit, held at New York City’s Lincoln Center, presents powerful new female role models whose personal stories illuminate the most pressing international issues. The summit’s vivid journalistic narratives, high-impact video, and fast-paced staging have made it the premier platform to showcase women of impact. Increasingly, Women in the World also includes the participation, onstage and in the audience, of men who champion women. BCG is proud to cosponsor the summit.

Women in the World Summit 2019

At the most recent summit, BCG Partner Shalini Unnikrishnan shared the stage with Edna Adan, founder and director of the Edna Adan Hospital & University; Elizabeth Nyamayaro, United Nations senior advisor; and Guneet Monga, executive producer of award-winning documentary *Period. End of Sentence*. The panel discussed boosting gender equality and women’s health, as well as how to tackle taboos across Africa and India. In 2018, BCG Partner Leila Hoteit joined Mindy Grossman, Christa Quarles, and Diane von Furstenberg at Women in the World to talk about ways in which women are reinventing the rules. At the 2017 summit, BCG Senior Partner Miki Tsusaka took part in a panel with Arianna Huffington, Sallie Krawcheck, and Susan Wojcicki to discuss breaking the corporate glass ceiling.
