Magín Yáñez joined Boston Consulting Group in 2000. He is a core member of the firm’s Energy and Technology, and Media & Telecommunications practices. He is also a core member of the Industrial Goods practice with a special interest in smart mobility and infrastructures. Magín is BCG’s global head of energy networks and infrastructures as well the global head for power and utilities in emerging markets.

Magín focuses on projects involving strategy, corporate development, people and organization, business/operations turnaround, and digital transformation. He has 20 years of experience working in BCG’s offices in Iberia, Boston, and Brazil, and has served clients in Europe, the US, Latin America, the Mediterranean basin, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Magín has advised regulators and governments across the European Union, Latin America, and Southeast Asia on how to define energy and infrastructure models and on appropriate remuneration schemes. He has also advised private equity firms and infrastructure funds on investments and divestitures in Europe, the US, and Latin America.

Before joining BCG, Magín created an internet e-commerce enabler in the US and worked at JP Morgan and Arthur D. Little.
