Wouter van Leeuwen

Wouter van Leeuwen is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care and Financial Institutions practices.

Since joining BCG in 2004, Wouter has supported health care payers and providers, medtech companies, and banks on key strategic and organizational effectiveness topics. He has led a number of major hospital mergers focused on increasing the value of health care through better outcomes and lower costs, and he has developed strategic programs for health insurers around medical value management and value-based health care.

Wouter’s experience in banking includes leading a multi-year transformation to increase the organizational effectiveness of a major global bank, leveraging BCG’s Smart Simplicity approach. He also helped integrate two leading Dutch retail banks following their merger.

In the medtech space, Wouter has worked extensively with both service providers and equipment manufacturers on a wide range of strategic initiatives.
