François Candelon joined The Boston Consulting Group in 1993. He is a BCG Fellow whose research is centered on the "digital world order"—an investigation into the impact digital will have on wealth distribution, national competitiveness, and social stability.

François is a core member of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Energy practices, and he worked for a year in the London office as part of the BCG Ambassador program.

In his client work, François has focused mainly on assignments in the technology and communications, energy, and financial services sectors, helping companies—including media groups and telecom operators—address a wide range of strategic and organizational issues. He has also worked with clients in the consumer and retail and industrial goods sectors.

Before joining BCG, François worked on subcontracting and cooperation issues in the chemical industry, as well as on cycle time reduction and project management issues in the pharmaceutical industry.

François received his predoctorate degree in industrial economy while a research assistant for CERNA (Centre d'Économie des Ressources Naturelles).
