Tech in Asia
A field that once disappointed its proponents, AI is now striking remarkably close to home as it progresses toward mimicking human problem-solving behavior. But AI is faced with a fundamental constraint: it can only ever be as good as the data with which we build it. The faintest flaw in underlying data – be it wrongly labeled, biased, or incomplete – ensures that these bottom-up neural networks are resting on shaky foundations. In his guest column for Tech in Asia, Anand Chawra writes about AI’s Achilles Heel, and the next frontier of AI evolution.
