Massimo Portincaso is in charge of global marketing and communications activities at Boston Consulting Group. Massimo is a member of BCG's Global Marketing Committee. In collaboration with the Global Marketing Committee, he defines BCG's marketing strategy and ensures it is translated into global action.
Massimo is responsible for BCG's thought leadership and has pioneered some of BCG's marquee initiatives, including the TED@BCG partnership; the Magnum/BCG photo exhibit "Now Is the Time"; the EyeEm partnership; as well as the MIT Media Lab, HelloTomorrow, and MassChallenge partnerships.
He is also responsible for developing and strengthening BCG's network of marketers around the globe. His work on the BCG brand has been featured in Fast Company, Bloomberg, CNBC, and Consulting Magazine.
Massimo joined BCG in 1997, and has worked for the firm in Dusseldorf, Munich, Vienna, and Berlin. In 2002, he left to run his own company, rejoining BCG in 2006 as marketing director for Europe.
The potential is enormous, but startups in new technologies require a collective effort from all participants in the ecosystem to realize the opportunities.
