Yoshiaki Tsukahara initially worked at Boston Consulting Group from 2000 to 2015 after working for Mitsubishi Corporation. He left to work for international private equity firms and rejoined the firm in 2019. He is a core member of the firm's Consumer practice and is a leader in the firm's media work.

In his work at BCG, Yoshiaki has advised airports and airline companies, railroad companies, and retail industry clients—including supermarkets—and clients in media and entertainment industries. Yoshiaki’s recent work has covered digital transformation, marketing, supply chain/logistics, and mergers and acquisitions and post-merger integration.
