Michael Ringel is The Boston Consulting Group's global leader of research and product development and the global marketing leader for the Health Care practice.

Since joining the firm in 1999, Michael has worked with biotech and pharmaceutical clients on topics such as disease area strategy, transformation and process optimization, sourcing and partnerships, and organization design. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, licensing strategy, valuation, and postmerger integration.

Michael is a frequent contributor to industry journals, including Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, and has coauthored numerous BCG reports on R&D and corporate strategy. He sits on the board of The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts.

Before BCG, Michael worked in academia, investigating theoretical population dynamics and conducting field research in the Amazon basin near Manaus, Brazil.
