Isha

In Isha’s Words

I joined BCG after training in medicine and public health and have focused my BCG career on the topic of health care. My experiences have ranged from consumer strategy work at a large health care provider to lean operations at a global pharmaceutical company. I am very excited about the global health work at BCG and hope to participate in the Gates secondment program in the future.

BCG has an exceptional culture of mentorship. I have found colleagues from all levels, from associate to partner, eager to encourage me and help me navigate my BCG career.

Q&A

Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?

A: A medical degree opens a lot of doors, and it can be challenging to decide how to narrow your career focus. At BCG, I have been able to work on a broad range of industries: pharmaceuticals, health care providers, and, next I hope, on social impact and global heath. Seeing all of these industries firsthand has really helped to clarify my career interests.

Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?

A: Smart, hard working, and fun.

Q: What's the biggest impact you have had with your work?

A: Many physicians are interested in having a systems-level impact on health care delivery; BCG creates those opportunities. On my second project at BCG, I was able to design and implement an analysis of care delivery at a multistate hospital system. Our team presented a strategy to improve patient care and convenience directly to the CEO.
