This has been an incredibly difficult week. We know that many of you are left feeling angry and hurt, and in some cases, feeling marginalized and alone.
We want to be absolutely clear: groups who stand for bigotry and hate have no place in our society. The lack of leadership from the President on this has been unacceptable. To draw moral equivalence between the advocates of racism and bigotry and those who work to oppose them is to further divide people at a moment when our country’s leadership must reunite us.
The disbanding of the Strategic & Policy Forum was in direct response to the President’s reaction. We have also said in no uncertain terms: BCG does not stand alongside this President's decisions to turn his back on the Paris Climate Agreement, the reversal of LGBTQ rights, or immigration executive orders that would close the door on minority groups.
This is a time for us to come together, to care for one another, to listen and to share in open and candid dialogue: it is a time to have each other’s backs. We will continue to proactively look for ways to make a difference on these issues and other major challenges facing society. Together as a BCG community we can make a difference for one another and for the world around us.
