Amyn Merchant is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Health Care and Operations practices. He is an expert in post-merger integration (PMI) in operations and health care, and a member of the M&A and PMI leadership team in North America.

Since joining BCG in 1991, Amyn has led numerous projects related to network and supply chain redesign, plant and network complexity reduction, portfolio strategies, and plant and organization restructuring in the US, Europe, and Asia. His client engagements have included transforming the operations of a global pharmaceutical company, integrating the manufacturing and supply divisions of two large global companies, and redesigning the supply chain for a large biotech company.

Amyn also has deep experience in product development, process definition, procurement structures, and growth strategies across a wide range of industries. Over the course of his career, he has held several leadership positions within BCG, including leader of the Operations practice for North and South America, global leader of the firm’s manufacturing work, and head of BCG’s Northeast office system in the US. He also spent time in Asia, working as a BCG Ambassador during 1996 and 1997.

Prior to joining BCG, Amyn worked for the Wharton Small Business Development Center in Philadelphia.
