Jan Wittmaack joined Boston Consulting Group in 2008. He is a core member of the firm’s Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) practice, as well as the Private Equity Task Force and the Tech Capital team. He works with private equity clients predominantly in climate and sustainability, health care and changing demographics, and software and technology.

Jan has conducted over 50 commercial, technology, and operations (vendor) due diligences for financial sponsors. He has also led several growth-focused value creation and full potential projects for private-equity-owned portfolio companies. In recent cases, Jan led a due diligence on an on-roof mounting systems manufacturer for solar panels, an onshore offshore wind operations and maintenance provider, a waste and EfW (energy from waste) treatment provider, a tech-enabled bus connectivity platform, a health care IT software provider, and a warehouse management software developer. In addition, Jan recently completed a strategy program for a LWP (light weight packaging) waste recycling provider as well as a transformation and growth strategy program for an online classifieds business.

Prior to BCG, Jan worked at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking division.
