Chryssos Kavounides has led Boston Consulting Group's Athens office since February 2019. He is a core member of the Financial Institutions practice and focuses primarily on financial services. Chryssos leads BCG's work in retail banking and large-scale transformation in Greece and Cyprus.

Since joining BCG in 2011, Chryssos has supported BCG clients in Greece, Italy, and Turkey across different industries (including IT, telecoms, technology, pharmaceuticals, aviation, and processing) in strategic and operational areas (strategy development, operating model transformation, cost optimization, customer journey design and implementation, and distribution optimization).

Prior to coming to BCG, Chryssos’s consulting experience was focused on project management best practice for Blue Chip companies in IT, telecom, and financial services through his own consultancy in the UK. Prior to that, he worked as an A400M aircraft Wing Planning and Risk Manager at Airbus UK. He is an accredited project management professional (PMP) and Prince2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) practitioner.
