BCG’s internship programs give students the opportunity to get a true feel of what it’s like to work at BCG—and to experience the life of a consultant.

Working as an intern at BCG is more than an opportunity to bolster your résumé. It also offers the potential to launch a career at BCG, as a vast majority of our interns receive offers for full-time positions.

As a BCG intern, you’ll be able to apply what you’ve learned at school and through personal experience to a real client challenge. You’ll work with and be mentored by BCG consultants, and you’ll take responsibility for specific components of a client project. As a case team member, you’ll gain a 360-degree perspective on life as a BCG consultant—from working on client projects to socializing with colleagues.

My internship experience with BCG stood out because of the high degree of responsibility and senior client interaction I had on day one.

By asking questions we might not ask, interns challenge the very core of our assumptions. These questions are sure to lead us to more balanced, considered solutions.

BCG internships are generally four to six month long, from gap-year to end-of-study internships.

As a member of our project teams, interns will get a true international business experience. Some of them can be hosted in others BCG locations, depending on their staffing and the missions they are working on, and return regularly to their home office.

Our interns also experience the office day-to-day life, taking part in special events and social activities. This helps them get to know BCG consultants, and have some fun along the way.

If you are selected for our program, we’ll work with you to understand your interests and assign you as much as possible to a case that aligns with your personal and professional goals. Past interns have helped solve a range of interesting challenges, from uncovering why a US technology company was losing market share in Europe to determining the best strategy for a French luxury-goods brand to enter China.

Access to a large online training offer and knowledge database will provide additional insight into the consulting profession throughout your internship, giving you a complete view of what it would be like to work as a BCG consultant after you graduate.

We accept online applications throughout the year, from business and engineering schools science and humanities students We feel it is important to look ahead for this part of your studies and we advise to apply 3 months before your preferred start date. This will provide enough time to schedule interviews at a convenient time for you and get yourself prepared for them.
