Nicolás López is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions and Insurance practices.

With 20 years of management consulting experience in financial services, Nicolás has advised banks and insurance companies in Europe and Latin America. He is an expert in the design and execution of customer experience strategies, development of digital strategies, assessment of strategic implications due to regulatory changes (such as open banking), development of restructuring and cost-transformation programs, design and implementation of strategic plans, segment strategies (affluent, private, and SMEs), organization and restructuring of troubled asset units, and post-merger integration.

Nicolás is also heavily involved in the Principal Investors & Private Equity practice, serving funds in both diligence and post-acquisition projects related to Spanish financial services and real estate targets.

Prior to joining BCG, Nicolás was partner and director at Bain & Company, where he led the Financial Services practice in the Madrid office. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
