Ulrike Schwarz-Runer joined Boston Consulting Group as General Counsel in 2016. She is a member of the Executive Committee as well as other core management committees and company boards. 

Ulrike is responsible for BCG's legal function and all governance, legal, as well as related risk and reputational matters. In her role, Ulrike is involved in the firm's critical business priorities including assessing new markets and arenas the firm enters. 

Prior to joining BCG, Ulrike was general counsel and a board director of a large family-owned business in the UK and a sovereign wealth fund in the Middle East. Earlier in her career, Ulrike served as executive director at Goldman Sachs advising family-owned businesses and as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. 

Ulrike is a member of the Foundation Board of IMD Business School and previously held non-executive director roles in the financial services industry. She is qualified to practice law in England and Wales, New York, and Austria.
