In his guest column for Forbes, BCG’s Grant Freeland talks about the digital skills gap in the United States and how—if welcomed—global talent can help fill that void. Grant references a Decoding Global Talent 2018 that found a decline in the percentage of respondents willing to move to another country for work since 2014. However, among those willing to relocate, the US remained the top destination. Freeland says that in order to attract this talent, “all US employers apparently need to do is ask—and all the US political leadership needs to do is make them feel like they’re wanted.”
