A BCG report is referenced in a Forbes article about the gap between ambition and execution at large companies when it comes to artificial intelligence (AI). The report found that only one in 20 companies has extensively incorporated AI offerings or processes, and less than 39% of all companies have an AI strategy in place. The report claims that the main difference between AI leaders and laggards is their approach to data. Since AI algorithms are not natively “intelligent,” they must learn by inductively analyzing data.
