BCG’s Justin Manly discusses the positive and measurable impact of fostering relationships with alumni in an article by Quartz. More and more companies are focusing on building out their alumni networks, which doesn’t surprise Manly, as there are calculable returns on investment – it’s been proven “that when an alum is involved in a new client engagement with a guaranteed fee, it’s 40% more lucrative than projects without that connection.” Manly adds, “we see our ability to develop our alum’s careers, and their ability to have an impact on the world, as an extension of what we do within our four walls…[and] if we stay connected and we do it right…they’re more likely to hire us.”
