In his guest column for Forbes, BCG’s Grant Freeland talks about how “women entrepreneurs are being shortchanged by the venture capital community.” He references a Why Women-Owned Startups Are a Better Bet that finds that women business owners receive significantly less funding from investors than their male counterparts in early-stage capital pitches. Despite the lower initial investment, women-owned businesses generate 10% more in cumulative revenue over a five-year period.
