In 1998, The Boston Consulting Group opened an office in Mexico City after achieving success in our office in Monterrey. Mexico City is one of the world's largest cities and is the capital of Mexico. It is home to the country’s main service sectors, such as banking and retail, and is the headquarters for most multinational companies doing business in the country.

As a result of our continued growth, we moved our office in Mexico City to the 31st floor of Reforma 342. The office tower is in front of Angel de la Independencia, one of the most important monuments of Mexico City. We are located in a business section of the city that is undergoing rapid renewal and development. The office design combines a wide variety of workspaces that promote creativity and teamwork, focusing on the welfare of our staff.
Our consultants have broad experience working with large clients from different industries, including the consumer goods, industrial, financial services, energy, and education sectors—in the areas of strategy, operational effectiveness, organization, marketing, and more.
BCG’s offices in Mexico City and Monterrey are involved in Women@BCG, which is designed to increase the recruiting, retention, and job satisfaction of women. The program is able to implement this through mentoring, discussion groups, training, and development.
We are also an active participant in a program called cross-office projects, in which our consultants work on a short-term project (typically less than six months) in another country—an opportunity to gain international experience without having to relocate. We also take part in BCG’s transfer program, which allows staff to move to another city, country, or part of the world (usually for 12 to 24 months, or permanently). BCG’s global footprint gives staff the flexibility to change locations according to evolving needs and goals.
Since 2006, BCG has supported Save the Children Mexico in its mission to create immediate and lasting change in children's lives. We have helped in the organization’s transformation from having semi-independent regional operations into one strong national organization that focuses on high-priority regions. We have worked with Save the Children Mexico's leaders to define the organization's strategy through 2018, assess its current positioning in the NGO sector, prioritize the growth opportunities that promise the greatest impact, evaluate alternative channels and target segments for fundraising, and identify key organizational capabilities to develop over the next few years.
We encourage teamwork, professional challenges, and career development. Our recent move to a new office space gives staff access to high-tech areas and open environments that increase interaction with colleagues.
On the third Friday of each month, we have a TGIF event during which we relax and have a beer with our peers and share experiences. And every Friday is Taco Friday! We also celebrate birthdays every month at the office with cake and the singing of "Las Mañanitas," a Mexican version of "Happy Birthday," and we hold an office outing, retreat, and Christmas party. We are aware that exercise is very important in our lives, so we have a soccer team that competes with other companies, and we have launched a program called BCG Fit.
Our office captures a wide variety of nationalities and cultures, and our people have very diverse professional and academic backgrounds.
