Now located in the iconic 10 Hudson Yards, BCG’s New York office serves multinational firms in a variety of industries as well as a variety of medium-sized companies. The staff of BCG in New York work on projects ranging from corporate development to strategy in industries like consumer goods, financial services, and technology and communications. The office fosters a culture that encourages professional challenges, development, and teamwork. History and the Area

BCG's New York office, opened in 1984 as the firm's 10th office, now occupies Floors 42-47 of the iconic 10 Hudson Yards on Manhattan's West Side. Described as "the office of the future" by Fortune, the office enjoys direct access to the High Line, floor to ceiling glass walls with 360 degree views of New York's skyline, an in-house barista coffee service run by Joe Coffee and other unique and exciting amenities. As one of BCG's largest offices worldwide, the New York office serves a wide array of industries and functions. Projects range from corporate development to strategy in industries including consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, technology and communications. Maintaining our team’s strength and our growth momentum, along with a strong, passionate community, remains our highest priority.

Who We Work With

Our teams work across a diverse range of industries—health care, insurance, industrial goods, financial services, consumer goods, retail, and many more. The New York and New Jersey offices also divide their time between strategic consulting at the pro bono level and working in hands-on community service. Both offices enjoy long-term pro bono relationships with the Wildlife Conservation Society and the New York City Opera, for example. Volunteer-based community initiatives include the New York City Mentoring Program, for which BCG has received multiple awards, and an ongoing relationship with Junior Achievement. The offices have fostered economic development by helping New York City increase its competitiveness as a production location for film and television.

Our Office Culture

Although the New York office is rather large, its enthusiastic consultants and support staff claim they are one big family. They like to relax and have a drink or participate in one of the many activities BCG in New York has to offer, such as March Madness tournaments, white-water rafting weekends, annual outings, visits to Central Park, and a holiday party. Our staff is very involved in BCG's global social impact work for organizations like Save the Children, the United Nations, and the Wildlife Conservation Society. Locally we work with partners like the New York City Opera, the New York City Parks and Recreation Department, and the City of Newark. We have an active volunteer program with many opportunities to participate, including mentoring local high school students and working with Junior Achievement. Our Green Team makes sure the office is environmentally friendly.

BCG in New York has an incredibly diverse community reflecting the character of New York itself. Our partners include many women and members of the African-American, Latino, and LGBT communities. More than half of our partners and consulting staff were born outside the US. This diversity enriches our community and increases the value we bring our clients, who face increasingly complex global challenges.
