Dave Matthews began his career at The Boston Consulting Group in 2013. He is an ambassador at the BCG Henderson Institute, working with Jim Hemerling on people and transformation and Jean-Manuel Izaret on novel pricing models for the biopharmaceutical industry and beyond.
Dave’s work spans several industries and focuses primarily on pharma, medical devices, and technology. He specializes in several functions, including strategy, pricing, and corporate development. He has experience leading pricing strategy transformations, PMIs, and change enablement programs, along with acquisition due diligence and R&D portfolio rationalization casework.
Dave is a core member of BCG's Health Care; Marketing, Sales & Pricing; People & Organization, and Corporate Development practices. Prior to joining BCG, Dave independently consulted in the biotechnology space, taught neuroscience as an adjunct professor, and performed research as an NSF fellow and NIH-funded neuroscientist.
