Marc D. Grüter is a core member of the Financial Institutions and Operations practices at The Boston Consulting Group. His client work focuses on finance and risk management, regulations, and compliance. With more than 14 years of consulting experience, Marc has built a sound track record in the areas of strategic redesign and transformation of finance, risk, regulatory, and compliance functions and the digitization of credit management and trading functions. For the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and selected European NCAs, Marc has contributed his expertise in capital calculation and stress-testing under Basel II, II.5, and III, and in the evaluation of recapitalization needs on system and single-bank levels.
Marc’s belief in the increasing strategic importance of risk management is borne out by the writing and consulting he has completed on the subject. His knowledge of regulatory change is recognized by the broader global banking community.
His prior work experience includes three years as principal and then partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, and various other leadership positions in risk management consulting and at a global Swiss bank.
