Ryosuke Torii is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Energy, Operations, and Strategy practices. He joined BCG in 2004 and was seconded to Japan’s Ministry of Finance from 2011–2013.
Over the course of his career, Ryosuke has worked primarily with clients in the energy, utility, and transportation industries. His recent experience includes developing business strategies and supporting operational restructuring for several major electric power companies, as well as designing management KPIs and processes for a number of utilities. He has also led projects to help utilities develop and design their trading organizations, and he has worked with a wide range of clients on scenario planning for potential business model disruption.
In addition, Ryosuke has deep expertise in cost optimization, transformation, M&A and alliances, transformation and turnaround, growth and innovation strategies, and globalization strategy.
