Demographic, social, and technology trends are creating a two-speed consumer economy in China.

Veronique Yang

Veronique Yang joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2001 and has acquired extensive experience in the fast-moving-consumer-goods (FMCG), consumer durables, apparel, restaurant and food service, and e-commerce sectors in Greater China.

Veronique works with both local and global companies. Her projects have explored strategy and operational topics, including planning and growth, new business opportunities, acquisitions, business model innovation, go-to-market approaches, brand positioning, and operation improvement.

Veronique’s projects include a transformation program for a Chinese food and beverage company, focusing on the topics of sales and marketing and operations, a turnaround planning in China for a worldwide apparel company, and the design of an industry 4.0 smart factory for a home appliance player.

She helped a Chinese agrifood client develop an e-commerce platform, then supported its team through set-up and operation during the first six months. She also revamped the business model for an international baby food company, focusing it on online marketing and customer relationship management. In 2009 Veronique contributed her expertise to BCG’s report Winning Consumers Through the Downturn.
