Dr. Christian Wagner joined The Boston Consulting Group in January 2012, bringing 15 years of experience in risk management and controlling at large international banks. He coleads BCG's global risk analytics team and is a core member of the Financial Institutions practice.

Prior to joining BCG, Christian worked as head of methods, applications, and data in the risk controlling division at Commerzbank; head of the credit risk models department at Eurohypo; and head of the rating methods team in the risk analytics and instruments department at Deutsche Bank.

At BCG, his project work includes developing, validating, and implementing credit risk models for all types of portfolios and customer groups at large banks across Europe, North America, and Asia. He has also helped optimize and implement early warning methods and collection processes based on behavioral scoring for several asset classes including mid-market corporate, small business, and retail clients.
