Over the last 15 years, Brazil enjoyed a period of economic stability that led to a strong consumer market. But the country’s economic growth is slowing—and with it, consumers’ appetite for spending. Although purchasing is projected to slow overall, Brazil’s interior cities are bucking the trend as demand growth moves inland. But most leading retailers are still located in the country's coastal cities.
